Polished white veined interior floor
A polished white tile floor with dark charcoal veining, set in a straight grid. It picks up the daylight and meets a wood floor at the doorway.

A glossy floor shows everything: lippage, uneven joints and bad cuts all catch the light. On a surface like this, getting the floor flat before tiling matters as much as the tile you choose.
The veining runs in a different direction on almost every tile. We kept the grid simple and the joints fine, so the pattern comes from the stone look and not from the layout.
There are two black floor registers in the field and a transition to wood flooring at one edge. Both were set out with the grid so the cuts around them stay neat.
